Infant training toothpaste is fluoride free, and provides little benefit to the child’s teeth, but can make learning to brush more fun and delicious!

It is best to use a small amount of kids fluoride toothpaste daily, like the Kid’s Crest Sparkle Fun, with adult supervision, but you can use training toothpaste if the child is practicing on their own.

A good way to incorporate training toothpaste would be to add a small amount to their brush and let the child have a turn brushing, maybe while they watch you brush your own teeth! Then add a smear of children’s fluoride toothpaste to their brush and brush your child’s teeth for them, making sure to clean the back molars and near the gums. This way they can have some independence with a paste they can swallow, and you can help them use the perfect amount of fluoride toothpaste to keep their teeth strong!
