Dr. Leslie Murray

Raised in Durango, Colorado, Dr. Leslie Murray, loves being back in Colorado.

Before founding Iris Pediatric Dentistry in 2021, Dr. Leslie taught at the Children’s Hospital Colorado as an Assistant Professor and Pediatric Dental Attending. Her favorite aspects of this work were the joys of helping families in difficult situations, working with children of special needs, and teaching the pediatric dental residents. At Iris she can incorporate each of these aspects, while also developing a unique clinic environment that really fosters positive experiences, skill building for families and more flexibility (sometimes kids just don’t fit in a box!).

After obtaining her bachelor’s degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Roseman University in South Jordan, Utah and continued her training with a General Practice Residency at Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) in Charlotte, North Carolina. At CMC she found a spark while working with adults with special needs and also understood the value of additional education to allow safe treatment of patients with complex medical conditions.

After a few years in private practice in North Carolina, she returned to Colorado for two additional years of pediatric specialty training at Children's Hospital Colorado, and realized the Colorado really was her forever home. She is a board certified pediatric dentist, which indicates a commitment to education and specialty training for children and people with special needs.

Now living in Park Hill with her husband, Levi, she loves practicing in her community, incorporating her joy of teaching with her patients and their families, and using her years of additional training to ensure that children in Colorado have access to the best, most caring dental experiences.

Dr. Kate Trieschman

Dr. Kate grew up outside of Boston and lived in Argentina for 7 years as a kid. She moved to Denver a couple of years ago and is excited to now call Colorado home!

After obtaining her bachelor’s from Franklin & Marshall College, Dr. Kate went on to complete her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated with Honors in Pediatric Dentistry and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) Dental Honor Society. While in dental school, she also completed her Master of Public Health degree, which helps fuel her passion for preventative and minimally invasive dental care for all children. After dental school, Dr. Kate completed her pediatric specialty training at Children’s Hospital Colorado. There, she met Dr. Leslie, sharing her passion for providing gentle, patient-centered dental care for children, especially those with special healthcare needs.

In addition to working at Iris Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Kate regularly volunteers with the Special Olympics. She is also completing a Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) fellowship, a program with goal of enhancing healthcare for individuals with developmental differences. She is excited to incorporate this knowledge into her clinical practice, as well to continue to advocate for access to dental care for those with special needs.

Currently living in the Montclair neighborhood with her partner, Sean, and golden retriever, Tango, Dr. Kate is excited to join the team at Iris Pediatric Dentistry! She is most looking forward to working with families to meet their dental needs and goals.
